Kimberly Lenz is a pharmacy leader in the Office of Clinical Affairs, the MassHealth clinical decision support unit that is staffed by UMass Medical School. In this role, she serves as the Clinical Pharmacy Manager for MassHealth, the Massachusetts Medicaid program. Dr. Lenz is responsible for the development and oversight of MassHealth clinical initiatives.
Dr. Lenz clinical passions include appropriate opioid prescribing, substance use disorder, transitions of care, and a multidisciplinary approach to complex disease states. In addition to being an active member in the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, she is a member of the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review's New England Comparative Effectiveness Public Advisory Council. Dr. Lenz is currently the chair of the Professional Practice Committee.
Lenz holds a PharmD degree from the University of Connecticut, and completed a residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
