I am honored and excited to be a part of AMCP. Thank- you! I have spent the last 35 plus years of my career in managed care pharmacy. The scope of my career includes both commercial and government programs with a concentration in underserved populations. I had the privilege of managing the first managed care Medicaid program, TennCare. Then when MMA was enacted (2005) I pivoted to the Medicare Program until moving to Prime Therapeutics in 2016. I managed specialty spend and strategy for the Federal Employees Program and currently overseeing utilization and formulary strategy for several Blues clients. My focus has been bringing value to the client through varies programs we have implemented. All of these programs allowed me the opportunity of designing strategies that have been provider and member centric.
Additionally, being chairman of Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee at both Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and Windsor Health Plan gave me the opportunity to align P&T decisions with health plan strategies and member concerns. Over my career, I have managed multiple pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses and call center personnel.
In my free time, I like to travel, attend CrossFit and run. I have been married for 34 years and we have two beautiful (grown) children and three cats who keep us entertained.
